Deck Safety

Posted by Administrator on 5/4/2014
Far too many deck disasters happen each year.  They seem simple enough, four post on a concrete block, a few nails into the house, put some boards on and you have a deck!!
In actuality, there are alot of forces in play with a deck attached to the house, ESPECIALLY if it is 8 ft. or more off of the ground.  The building codes are just now developing and enforcing rules for this reason.

We have a link installed on our homepage, www.screwsolutions.com, which contains two handy forms to use to give your deck a safety check.
